"Sleepwalker" is a song by American recording artist Ava Max. It appears as Track 2 on her sophomore studio album, Diamonds & Dancefloors.
Background
"Sleepwalker" was leaked on September 1, 2022 after the delay of Diamonds & Dancefloors.
On June 1, 2023, Max's record label partnered with WEBTOON for their series "Love Stories". One of the episodes was based off of "Sleepwalker".
On January 27, 2024, Max posted a snippet of the visualizer to celebrate the one year anniversary of Diamonds & Dancefloors.
Composition
Recorded in E minor, the song has a dark, eerie sound. Lyrically, "Sleepwalker" is about Max's lover who is obsessing over her whilst she orders them around, saying her actions were "Karma" for her lover's. The line "What goes around comes back to kick down your door" could be a reference to Max's song Who's Laughing Now.
